Initial proposal for 2 dwellings in a remote village at mountain Koronos of Naxos island. The design investigates potentials of vernacular and sustainable architectural elements employed into a contemporary composition. The main scopes of the brief are firstly to reduce the carbon footprint during the life cycle of the building and secondly to provide a comfortable and sustainable environment to live in, where protection from the extreme weather conditions is vital.
